Navy Seals on Tenacity – Words to Live and Work By
-
The lives of my teammates and the success of the mission depends on me. (individual accountability)
-
If knocked down, I will get back up every time. (resilience)
-
In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed. (purpose)
-
By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day. (commitment)
The Trident is the device worn by all SEALS on their uniform blouse. What if we all had a Trident for our work - something that says we truly accept the responsibility for our chosen profession and we did it? How nice would that be for all of us? What would that teach our children?
I had posted this a few years ago and got it from JustSell. I have changed some of it it around. Let me know what you think of this posting. Please leave a comment if you can. Thanks!

John - excellent posting. It applies to our professional, social, and personal lives. As a professional, the success of our business depends on how much we live each of the creeds and values above. I appreciate you taking the time to share this.
No sick days for a SEAL!
John, outstanding. This is a good way to look at work, and life challanges. I think Individual dedication is the fundemental key to sucess through a team, or personal quest. With every one person focused on individual acountability, the number one objective, mission, and plan of attack can be carried out with precision.
Great post and great reference, John ... Love the Seals even more today.
