About John Davis - An executive that sells.  A leadership consultant who leads.

John Davis is the guiding light of High Gear Training Systems. He is the creator and facilitator our sales training and leadership development programs. Most important, John is no mere theorist. He's a vastly experienced professional who for many years has practiced what he now preaches.

For 13 years at IBM, John held a variety of sales and program management positions. He attained eleven 100% Clubs, served on the IBM Quality Council, and led the TQM implementation for field sales operations.

John left IBM in 1991 to launch High Gear Training Systems. At the end of 1994, John joined his number one client, Aerotek ( the Allegis Group), a leading international contract engineering staffing company.  As Aerotek's Director of Professional Development,  John helped create the Aerotek Professional Development Center.  As such, John was responsible for  all training and development activities and led a staff of over 40 personnel.  John personally trained over 1,000 new Account Managers.  John was also Executive Project Manager for Aerotek's Q1 certification with the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan.

John is a member of the American Management Association, the American Society for Training and Development as well as a member of the Entreprenural Panel at USA Today.   John is a certified DISC Behavioral Analyst.  He also serves on the Salvation Army Baltimore advisory board.

A native of Baltimore,  John attended Mt. St. Joseph's High School and went on to Graceland University in Iowa where he earned  a degree in psychology.  Before beginning his business career, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
